I'm not just saying this to pat myself on the back, the motivation for most of what I say, but I bet Francis Ford Coppola didn't take time to do the Coppola family laundry two weeks before shooting The Conversation. It's not that this isn't hard work, requiring a ton of creative energy and the organization of several mammoth pawfuls of people all working on different pieces of this puzzle and the diligence of a ridiculously talented Rebekah (AP) but it's not the sort of thing that warrants abusive cocaine-fueled adultery. Come on man, if you have the time to cheat on your wife, you're not making a good movie!
Saw the last group of Fifth Formers in rehearsal last night and continue to be pleased. They are relaxed and committed, despite the fact that most of them are graduating from high school in a couple of weeks.
I discussed the sartorial splendor of teenage boys yesterday with Bridget (Costume Designer) and opened my closet for her. Her response, "Oh, we can use all of that." It turns out that most of what was in there either does, in fact, date back to 1989 or might as well. Those who know me are not surprised by this. But again, if you have enough time to look good, you're not making a good movie!
