Some good (well, mostly good actually) and some bad. So, apparently, the trailer is not a one size fits all proposition. There are a lot of different kinds of trailers and, if all we were making was trailers, I would be hard at work on V.2 which Brandon and I have already discussed. It would be the hook-y 60 second version that made our film look like the cool, funny movie that it is without much in the way of story necessarily.
What I feel like we made for V.1 was the - here's a good example of where we shot, who we shot and here's the story from beginning to end for those of you who have been paying attention for the last year and a half. And on those grounds we have a success but Independence Day, it is not.
So, we're starting on editing the film proper and perhaps we'll have V.2 out soon but we do reward attention spans at Fifth Form, so no breath holding please. In the meantime, please comment here on your own feelings about the trailer. I'd love to get a conversation going and I'd love to be able to incorporate some of your thoughts as we move forward.
