It's been a while since I've added anything here but that certainly doesn't mean we've been dormant at Baseball Boot. The picture is almost locked in fact. With a new ending (thanks Daniel), a new beginning (thanks Liz) and a string of new transition sequences (thanks Ian) that set up the ending and y'know kind of tie the whole thing together, the film looks its best. I've got one more viewing to give it the thumbs up and then it's sound, sound, sound which continues to be the biggest hurdle left.
We've finished our ADR sessions - so all the actors necessary have come in to re-record dialogue from the scenes with running showers or attacking birds in them. But sound fx and atmospherics are still on the horizon.
We've scheduled the premiere for Jan. 29th at 11pm in SF. This is a casual, friends, family, cast and crew affair and it will be alot of fun to just be able to have alot of fun. If you haven't please get back to Rebekah at femelfy@gmail.com for tickets.
You should also join the group and/or cause on Facebook , called Fifth Form, for more regular updates and to help spread the word. It's easy that way for me to let you know when we'll be in your city, wherever that may be.
Which means that applications are out. I had 6 deadlines in Dec. and the first festival would be Portland in Feb. 2 more deadlines in Jan. And then after that, everyone should be getting a fine cut as opposed to the rough cuts that I've had to send out to festivals thus far. I'd appreciate as many crossed fingers as possible.
